Hey everyone — I’m in a bit of an unusual position and could use some real‑world advice.
I’m facing a short‑term financial emergency (a bad trading week wiped out some of my cushion), and I need to liquidate a few digital assets to cover it. One of those assets is a TikTok account I’ve grown to 9.5K followers.
Here’s the rundown:
- Niche: General knowledge
- Followers: 9,500
- Demographics: Mostly Asian audience, age 20–30
- Growth: Organic — no paid ads
I haven’t monetized it heavily yet, but engagement is solid for its size, and the audience actually watches the content instead of just scrolling past.
What I don’t know is the fair market rate for something like this.
What I’m Curious About
1) What’s a reasonable price per 1K followers for this niche?
I know rates vary wildly by niche and engagement, but I’m trying to avoid either underselling or setting an unrealistic asking price.
2) Should I use a middleman service (Swapd / PlayerUp / FameSwap / etc.)?
Is that worth it for safety and legit buyers, or do people actually move accounts privately without ending up in a spammy situation?
3) Has anyone here sold a similar sized TikTok account before? What was your experience like?
Particularly:
- How long did it take to sell?
- What price did you list at vs what you actually got?
- Any red flags to watch for?
What I’m Not Asking For
Just to be clear — I’m not asking for handouts or sympathy. I’m looking for honest appraisal and practical advice so I can list the account correctly and move it relatively quickly.
If you’ve been through this or have data on pricing / platforms / how to structure a safe deal, I’d appreciate hearing it.
