Right now, I’m pulling in around $500 per month with maybe 3–4 hours of real work.
This isn’t passive income.

The Main Income: Selling Creatives ($350–$400/Month)
The bulk of my income comes from selling simple creatives on freelance platforms.
Things like:

- Simple visual assets
Nothing fancy.
I use an AI image generator to create most of these, which massively cuts down production time. What used to take hours now takes minutes.
Why This Works (Even If You’re Not a Designer)
The key isn’t being a design genius.
It’s understanding:
- What businesses actually need
- Clear CTAs
- Their pain points
- Whether the visual communicates a message
Most people overthink design. Businesses don’t want art — they want something that converts.
Once you have a few reviews, it gets much easier. The first month or two are the slowest.
How I Learned What Works (For Free)
One thing that helped a lot was studying public ad libraries.
You can:
- Filter by niche
- See what real businesses are running
- Replicate proven formats
That’s literally how I learned what works without a marketing background.
The Extra Income: Surveys & Testing ($100–$150/Month)
The rest comes from a mix of survey and testing platforms.
Academic Surveys
I have an established profile on an academic survey platform, which still pays decently. That said, it’s become harder for new users, so I’m not sure I’d recommend starting there today.
General Survey Apps
Another survey app I use has been fairly consistent:
- Decent payout times
- Less competition
- Mix of surveys and game offers
I usually make around $30–$40 per month from it. Nothing crazy, but it actually pays.
User Testing
I’m also on a few user testing platforms:
- Higher payouts per test
- Not super consistent
- Roughly $20–$30/month depending on availability
Why This Setup Works
My strategy is simple:
- Create profiles everywhere possible
- See what sticks
- Let different streams carry different months
Some months, freelance work is stronger.
Other months, surveys fill the gap.
That diversification keeps income steady without stress.
Timeline Reality Check

The freelance side took about 2 months to gain momentum, but once it did, it stayed consistent.
