Credit report errors are far more common than most people realize. According to an FTC study, 1 in 4 Americans has at least one error on their credit report that could impact their credit score, loan approvals, or interest rates.
I’m currently working on a research project focused on understanding real user experiences with credit report errors, and I’m looking for participants willing to share their insights in a short, paid interview.
Why This Research Matters
Credit reporting is a complex and often frustrating system. Many people use apps or services to monitor, dispute, or repair their credit, yet errors still slip through and create long-term financial stress.
This project aims to better understand:
- How people discover errors on their credit reports
- Which tools and services they trust (or don’t trust)
- How credit issues affect real financial goals
- Where people actually get reliable financial advice
This is pure market research, not a sales funnel.

- Compensation: $30

What Kind of Questions Will Be Asked?
The conversation will be relaxed and conversational, covering topics such as:
- Credit apps or services you’ve used to monitor or repair credit
- General financial goals and how credit helps or hurts those goals
- Media and social media habits related to finance
- Trusted sources for financial or credit-related advice
You’re not expected to prepare anything in advance.
Why I’m Recruiting Directly
This space can understandably feel suspicious, and many platforms heavily restrict posts related to credit. Before paying third-party research platforms like Respondent.io, I wanted to see if there were people interested in participating directly.
The compensation reflects what I would otherwise pay a research platform — instead, it goes directly to participants.
Interested in Participating?
If you’re a U.S. resident and have experience dealing with credit reports, monitoring tools, or credit-related issues, I’d love to hear from you.
Simply reach out or leave a comment to express interest, and I’ll follow up with next steps.
