From Inside Joke to 1.1M+ Views — and a Real App

How a Simple Joke Sparked the Idea

It started as a joke between friends.

We were talking about how formulaic viral shorts had become — clipper pages, Reddit stories over gameplay, hopelesscore edits… the same formats everywhere.

Everyone was grinding them.

That’s when the joke turned into a challenge:

Could the entire process be automated?

Turning the Joke Into an Experiment

Instead of overthinking it, I decided to just build it.

I said fuck it and created a simple automation tool that could handle the repetitive parts of making viral shorts. I tested it on a brand-new channel — then honestly forgot about it.

No daily posting.
No tweaking.
No obsessing over content.

The Result I Didn’t Expect

A couple of months later, I checked back in.

1.1M+ views.

That’s when it stopped being a joke.

The experiment worked — and the biggest shift wasn’t the views, but the fact that I was spending zero time thinking about content execution and all my time thinking about strategy.

From Personal Tool to Public Platform

Once my friends saw the results, they started asking for access to the tool.

So I turned it into a public platform others could use too.

Right now, we’re intentionally keeping it small — about 64 users.

I’m not trying to build some massive startup or chase hyper-growth.

What the Platform Actually Does

The goal is simple:

Automate the boring, repetitive parts of content creation.

Things like:

  • Reddit story videos
  • Hopelesscore edits
  • Other trending short-form formats

All the grunt work is automated.

Creators can focus on what actually matters:

  • Coming up with good ideas
  • Planning strategy
  • Making content they actually care about

Building a Small but Real Creator Community

The long-term goal isn’t scale at all costs.

It’s to build a solid community of creators who want to make cool stuff — without burning out on editing and repetitive workflows.

Automation handles the grind.
Creators handle the creativity.

TL;DR

Built an automation tool to create viral shorts as a joke.
Hit 1.1M+ views on a fresh channel.
Now I’m actively building a platform that helps creators automate the boring parts of content creation.
