I’d save a lot of workout reels — abs routines, hotel workouts, mobility stuff — and feel productive in the moment.
But when I actually got to the gym (or a hotel gym), I almost never used them.
I tried a few things:
- Screenshotting sets and reps (messy)
- Writing notes mid-workout (annoying)
The real issue wasn’t motivation.
It was structure.
Saved content isn’t something you can realistically follow when you’re tired and short on time.
The Idea (Built for Me, First)
So I built a small app for myself.
The flow was simple:
- Take a saved workout video
- Turn it into a clear, ordered routine
- Automatically add sets, reps, and rest
- Follow it like a checklist
No thinking. Just execution.
The Unexpected Signal
I shared the idea in a couple of small communities, mostly to see if anyone related.
One person reached out and asked if they could get lifetime access.
They paid before the app even launched.
That was the real signal.
What I Learned
- People don’t need more workouts
They need help executing the ones they already save - Fixing a behavior gap is more valuable than adding features
- Even tiny tools can validate real pain if they remove friction
Where It’s At Now
The app is still in beta.
I’m mostly learning from early users and refining the experience. But it was a good reminder that:
Solving your own annoying habit can resonate more than chasing ideas.
Happy to answer questions or share beta access.
